Analysing Third Culture Kids

TCK, Third culture kids, is people who were raised in a culture other than their parents' or the culture of their country of nationality, and also live in a different environment during a significant part of their child development years. On top of that TCK have three essential features which are about type of growing up.

First of all is about observational and linguistic skills.  They always are observers of what is going on around them and then try to understand reasons for what they are seeing. TCK Observe carefully and learn to ask, “How does life work here?” before pressuring by community because they must adapt. Nowadays it is advantage for TCK as far as I am concerned.

Nevertheless, social skills. learning to live with the repetitive change is a great sense of confidence and strong feelings of self- trust for TCK. Not always liking change TCK do expect to handle with new situations and TCK have what they need for that. But TCK can appear to be socially slow while they are trying to figure out the effective rules in their new situation.

In conclusion, TCK have the opportunity not only to observe a great variety of cultural practices but also, they learn what some of the basic ideas are behind them, they develop strong cross-cultural skills. Being TCK have advantages and disadvantages. Even if those depend on habits of body, the advantages are higher than the disadvantages from my point of view.
